Thank you for visiting The Vidale Family website. I believe that there is wealth in knowing where and who we’ve come from, and I want to do everything I can to get that back. I want to share with you my journey wading through the historical fallout caused by slavery and colonialism to reclaim the history and identity bestowed to me by my ancestors as far back and far reaching as I can find. I started tracing my family tree through immediate family and geneology websites years ago, and realized that those websites would still own that information if I didn’t put it somewhere else. With this website, I hope to bring The Vidale Family story back home to my family and the many more Vidales whose family stories shape who we are. This will be where we can come together to explore our family’s story across history and across the globe, and share that story in our own space, in our own words. Stay tuned.
